Our History
The Forest Athletic Club was formed on September 15th, 1958. It effectively merged the "Log Tavern" and "Dotyville" community teams which dated from the 1930s. In the first season of 1959, the Forest Little League team won its first league championship. The current park was purchased in 1964, and the Forest Athletic Club played its first season here in 1965. It was the first park in the East Shore League with running water. Many improvements have been made to the park since then, most notably the addition of Fr. Chuck Loehr Field. With the benefit of a gracious donation by Fr. Chuck Loehr, the land for the diamond was purchased and built in 1998, and first used in the 1999 season. It is through the foresight of the Township of Forest and the hard work of many individuals over the years that allow a community as small as ours to provide the young people of our area the opportunity to play ball at a facility like ours. We intend to continue the tradition of hard work and dedication to provide the same opportunity for generations to come.
